Use this Task Bar Hero wiki to make the next decision faster.
The game is a taskbar idle RPG with three Acts and four difficulty tiers. A useful route depends on the problem in front of you: repeated wave clears, a boss check, survival, or a specific farming goal. This homepage keeps the first tools and answers in one place, then links to deeper build, Rune, stage, pet and market notes.
Start with the local Chest Timer if you need a simple session reminder. Choose Clear Speed, Boss Damage, or Survival in the Rune helper to see the first decision to test. For a named build, drop source, pet effect, market condition, or stage route, use the linked reference pages and keep the current patch beside the result.
Atlas currently tracks v1.01.05. Recommendations remain version-labelled so an old screenshot, copied tier list, or stale market claim is not presented as current game data. Official game scope and announcements are checked against the official Steam page.
How to use this Task Bar Hero guide
Use the homepage when you know the question but do not yet need a long article. If the immediate problem is timing, start the Chest Timer. If a run is slow, choose Clear Speed in the Rune helper and compare the same stage before and after a route change. If a boss is the wall, switch the goal to Boss Damage; if the run ends early, test Survival instead. These are small decisions, but naming the bottleneck prevents a build from becoming a pile of unrelated upgrades.
Then open the matching desk for the evidence behind the next step. The Rune and Rune Tree pages explain how to record a route. Stages and EXP Farming help decide whether to push or keep a reliable loop. Drops, Gear, Pets and Market notes keep sources, timestamps and version boundaries beside the claim. The goal is not to present every answer as fixed; it is to make the right next test easy to find.
Current Task Bar Hero coverage
This first release covers the main player questions: Rune routes, farming, stage progression, builds, item drops, pets, market conditions and patch notes, with a separate preview for the announced Plaguelands update. The official game page confirms a three-Act, four-difficulty progression structure, while the Atlas patch desk tracks the current v1.01.05 hotfix. Individual node values, drop percentages, live prices and tier rankings are only added when a current official source or repeatable player test supports them. That boundary is deliberate: a useful wiki should be clear about what is known, observed and still being checked.

Tools you can use on this page.
Each utility ships with a readable result and a clear data boundary. The first release prioritizes calculation and lookup over a giant, stale encyclopedia.

FIELD NOTES / 02
Builds need a role, stage and patch label.
Every future build will carry a patch label, role, stage and verification note. A “best” build without a condition is just a headline.

START HERE / 04
A better first hour starts with fewer wasted clicks.
- 01→
Set a clear farming goal
Choose gold, EXP, a target item or a progress wall before you compare stages.
- 02→
Spend rune points for the next wall
Use a route that fits the run in front of you, then revisit after a patch or new gear drop.
- 03→
Keep the patch attached
Before copying a build, check its game version and the stage it was meant to solve.
PATCH DESK / v1.01.05
Latest check: Error 404 launch notice; v1.01.05 remains current.
The official Aug 28 feed entry reports Error 404 launch failures for some accounts and directs affected players to official support. It is a service notice, not a version update; Atlas keeps v1.01.05 as the released baseline and keeps Plaguelands separate as in-development content.
Open patch desk →What is Task Bar Hero?
Task Bar Hero is a taskbar idle RPG built around hero choices, gear, runes, stages and long-running farming loops. Task Bar Hero Atlas is an independent guide and tool project for players who want a practical answer before the next run: which route fits a goal, what a rune choice changes, where a drop may come from, and whether a build is current for the game version. This site is a fan resource and is not affiliated with the game developer.
